Maja Lubi was born in 1980 in Ljubljana. After completing High School of Design and Photography, she enrolled College for Visual Arts for a year and then went on to college at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana, where she graduated in Art Pedagogy in 2008. Since 2005 her illustrations regularly appear in children’s magazines and she also cooperate in various projects as an illustrator. The main focus of her creative work is illustrating books for children. Her latest picture books were well accepted abroad and are translated into several foreign languages. Maja Lubi participated at numerous independent and group exhibitions, such as Slovenian Biennial of illustration. She lives and works in Ljubljana, Slovenija.
