Painter Boris Zaplatil was born 23 April 1957 in Ljubljana. After he graduated at the Ljubljana High School of Design, he studied at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated in the class of Gustav Gnamuš in 1982. Two years later he completed his MA at the same institution. Since 1982 Zaplatil has been a member of the Association of Slovenian Fine Art Societies. Since 1983 the artist has exhibited at eminent Slovenian art group exhibitions and shows held in Slovenia and abroad, and prepared a number of noted individual exhibitions. Zaplatil attended a number of international art workshops, among others “Abitanti” workshop, “Sinji vrh”, and “mmm art Medana”. Zaplatil has received many awards for his work in the filed of art. Boris Zaplatil is a freelance artist who creates in print art and painting. He lives in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
