Joanna Zajac Slapničar has studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, Poland from 1999 - 2004. (2004 diploma work by prof. C. Kowalski from painting )In the year 2003 she got a 3 month scholarship from Academy of Fine Art in Ljubljana, Department of Design.From 2007 she made her postgraduate studies (Video and New Media) at the Academy of Fine Art in Ljubljana, Slovenia.She is a member of Polish Art society (ZPAP) and Slovenian Art Society (DLUL).She is working in differend fields: painting (egg tempera, mix technique, watercolours), graphics, computer graphics, video and multimedia works, illustrations and now for a few years pedagogic work.She is living and working in Slovenia from 2006. She is performing painting classes at the University of Thirth Age in Ivančna Gorica (UTŽO), leading a ‘ Small Art School’ (Mala likovna šola) for children, preparing different art workshops for adults and children.She is a participatant in competitions, art colonies and exhibitions.She won a prize for the best aquarell at XLIII internationale painting ex-tempore PIRAN 2008l.
