Vecchiet Franko
Born in Trieste, where he graduated at the classical Slovenian high school. In his formation, the meeting with August Černigoj was very important. He collaborated with him for many years. His artistic path brought him to Ljubljana, Venice, Paris and The United States. In his works there is always a genuine link to Trieste, its problems and its history. For many years, he worked mainly with various engraving techniques. In years he started working with collages, painting, installations and other approaches of contemporary art. He exposed in several international exhibitions and won a lot of prizes.
