Simona Šuc was born on 11 February in 1972 in Maribor, Slovenia. In 2000, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana under professors Gustav Gnamuš and Jožef Muhovič. She organised artistic and theoretical work camps in Gaj near Maribor presenting Slovenian artists of the younger generation (2001−03) and co-founded the TU Association, through which she realised several space interventions in Maribor (2004−05). She has also participated in restoration works on sacral monuments located in northeastern Slovenia. She has been attending art colonies, art symposia and work camps and exhibiting at home and abroad. As a self-employed artist, she lives in Maribor.
