Primož Pugelj was born on April 3, 1973 in Koper. In 1993, he completed the Ljubljana High School of Design and Photography with a major in industrial design. In 1998, he graduated from the sculpture department of the Ljubljana Academy of Visual Arts with Professor Matjaž Počivavšek. From 1998 to 1999, he continued his studies in sculpture at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 2002, he received his master’s degree from the Ljubljana Academy of Visual Arts under the mentorship of Professor Počivavšek. His work has been exhibited at many one-man and independent shows in Slovenia and internationally. He has also received many awards. He lives and works as an independent artist in Brezovica.
