Arjan Pregl was born on July 5, 1973 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 1998 he graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts Ljubljana. In 2001 he completed his post-graduate studies in painting. During the final semester of his post-graduate studies he attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the United States. In 2004 he completed post-graduate studies in print-making.
