Kuliš Vatroslav
Vatroslav Kuliš was born in 1951 in Vidoši. he finished the School of Applied Arts in 1971 and graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1976, in the class of professor Šime Perić. Beside painting, he occupied himself with the graphic design and scenogrphy. He is an author of numerous set designs for Histrion Acting Company, Komedija Theatre, Zagreb Puppet Theatre and Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. He is an author of many graphic maps. During his study tours he went to Paris (Cite des Artes), Munich, New York, Melbourne... His works have been exhibited in museums and galleries in Croatia and in many private collections in Croatia and abroad. He received several awards and acknowledgements, like the Order of Danica Hrvatska with the Effigy of Marko Marulić in 1997, Vladimir Nazor Award for 2000 and Forum Gallery Annual Award for 2003. He has exhibited in around 90 individual and more than 100 group exhibitions in the country and abroad. He lives and works in Zagreb.
