Zdenko Huzjan was born on September 13th 1948 in Lendava. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana (Prof. Gabrijel Stupica, 1972) and pursued post-graduate studies of painting in the class of Prof. Janez Bernik, 1972-74. He is professor at the Academy of Education Univesity of Ljubljana. Among the numerous awards he has received also the Prešeren Fund Award (1988), and The Jakopič Award (2002). He lives and works in Ljubljana.
