The academic painter Bogdan Čobal was born 19th of August 1942 in Zrenjanin. He graduated from the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1967 with prof. Maksim Sedej. He worked as an art teacher at various secondary schools and before retireing also as senior lecturer at the Pedagogical Faculty in Maribor, Slovenia. Member of ZDSLU (Union of Slovenian Fine Artists' Associations) and DLUM (Maribor Fine Artists' Association), where he acted as chairman for several years. Throughout his entire artistic opus, painting and graphic art have interlaced equally and in correlation, highlighted by intensive artistic and theoretical research. His works are found in many private and public collections.
