N. Arbanas was born in 1950 in Batina. She graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Visual Arts in 1975, and completed postgraduate studies in graphic art in 1977. She was trained at the Atelier 17 in Paris (by S. W. Hayter) and in Prague (by L. Cepelak). She teaches graphic art at the Zagreb School of Applied Arts. She is the author of the "Dora Pejacevic" album of graphics, as well as of ceramic decorations at the church in Ostrosinci.
