Maks Koželj
Maks Koželj (1883 - 19569 was a second son of a painter Matija Koželj. He was fascinated in painting from his early age as he studied in his fathers workshop. He studied painting in Wienna, but he had to end his studies because of his medical problems. In 1905 he travelled to Prague and Munich to advance his skills. After that he returned to Slovenia and lived in Kamnik. He painted mostly landscapes, town of Kamnik and mountain scenes from the Alps. In his last years he developed a new tehnique of aquarellic painting with a rubber spade.
